ROOF TESTING
TAS 124 - Bell/Bonded Pull Test
This test is used to determined the resistance uplift pressure of newly installed, adhered, built-up, bituminous roofing systems over mechanically attached or adheres rigid board insulation over various deck types. Making sure that the existing or new roof meets the wind pressures should be of major concern to all parties involved.
TAS 106 - Tile Uplift Test
This is a product application control test to confirm the following; A) Sufficient bonding by the mortar or adhesive to the tile and underlayment in a mortar or adhesive set tile system. B) Or an effective mechanical attachment of components within a rigid discontinuous roof.
TAS 105- Fastener Pull Test
This is a withdrawal resistance testing of fasteners used to for attachment of various components to various substrate materials. In most cases this fasteners test is required prior to obtaining a roof permit for nailable decks such as, lightweight insulating concrete, gypsum, wood fiber (Tectum), etc.
TAS 126 - Infrared/Impedance Moisture Survey
This is a non destructive testing for the resistance of moisture, and the subsequent destructive testing by means of core cuts to confirm moisture content in roof system assembly.
Asbestos Survey
On all commercial re-roofing, this test is mandatory prior to obtaining a roofing permit. There are generally two types of asbestos found on most roofs: Friable and Non-friable.
